cabal-helper software package provides Simple interface to some of Cabals configuration state, you can install in your Debian 9 (Stretch) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cabal-helper
cabal-helper is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cabal-helper package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cabal-helper *
You will get with cabal-helper package name, version, architecture and description in a table
